"A scalable, High-Performance Distributed File System" marked the beginning of Ceph story and yet it took ten releases for the Ceph File System to be advertised as stable. CephFS has since become a viable option for workloads spacing from High Performance Computing to Kubernetes. In this talk we will go through Ceph releases starting from Jewel, the first stable CephFS release, focusing on how the CephFS evolution influenced architectural designs, cluster bootstrap strategies
and day two operations.
